Should the “Event” Portion of Your Company Campaign be In-Person, Online or Both?

I have created many different events over the years, starting before broadcasting online was the super easy thing it is today. And now that things have calmed down a bit, people are thinking again to Present an Event that is in-person or has an in-person component.

To answer the question regarding in-person, online or both, from out standpoint we would have to look at it from the perspective of how can you keep it free or at an extremely low cost?

In-person can be done for low or no cost if you partnership with others and each brings to the table a piece of the puzzle. Who is providing space, or entertainers, or food and so one. If you do this approach be sure to check out what the tax ramification it will be.

Online is so simple these days if you have one or more phones present you are set.

Both? If you are doing in-person, yes. But if you are doing something very scaled back for which having guests does not make sense, then of course online only.

In short, even more important than the METHOD HOW you will use to do an event is to ask youself the questions:

  • Who is the event for and why?
  • What part does it play in our weekly company campaigns?
  • How is this going to help others as well as ourselves?
